Nottingham, 1997. Labour politician Sarah Bone decides that the best way to keep her seat in the upcoming elections is to take on the case of Ed Clarke, a wrongfully imprisoned ‘murderer’. It’s only on the night that he’s released Sarah discovers that she may have made a terrible mistake.
Meanwhile Sarah’s first love, Nick Cane has just been realised from prison after doing time for growing cannabis. Nick knows Ed Clarke‘s a dangerous man as they were in the same prison. Nick soon realises that Ed is far from a ‘reformed character’ when they both start working illegally for the same cab firm.
When Nick meets Sarah again the old flame of attraction sparks once more, but can Sarah afford to let the past back into her life? And will they be able to expose Ed Clark’s guilt?
