Friday 27th May is going to be a huge night at The Walk Cafe.
As part of our new acoustic sessions we’re welcoming Indie-folk troubadour I’m Kingfisher a.k.a. Thomas Denver Jonsson to the Walk Cafe ‘stage’ with supporting solo set from Spaceships are Cool’s Spaceman Rob.
In 2008 Thomas Jonsson was listed in the British newspaper The Times as one of six acts who have taken the Swedish pop scene onwards since ABBA. By 2010, the time had come to release his fourth solo album “Arctic” which is the first one to come out under his brand new musical alias I’m Kingfisher (formerly: Thomas Denver Jonsson). Thomas has recently toured with Ed Harcourt in Scandinavia (Nov ’10) and the album has been released internationally in Europe.
Thomas has to this date performed over 400 shows in nearly 20 countries. Read more…
The evening starts at 7pm and if the sun shines we’re planning a barbecue with jugs of Pimms. All in all it’s going to be the perfect way to start the weekend off in style.
