Tripliquette Live at The Walk Cafe on Sunday 27th October
Kate, Delly and Emma wowed the audience with their debut performance at The Walk Cafe. Playing to a packed house (it was standing room only) Tripliquette took to the floor with a great set that covered songs from the shows, pop and some great swing numbers. If you missed the show don’t worry the Trips will be back for two more performances on Wednesday 7th and Friday 23rd October,
Singing in their very own style of oh so sweet close harmonies – Kate, Em and Delly who are Tripliquette will be making their performance debut at The Walk Cafe. In the first of three shows (they do everything in tripliquette!) the Trips will be doing a fun filled 45 minute set, covering songs from the big shows, jazz and 1940’s close harmonies.

Young Chef of the Year at Nottingham Restaurant Awards
Daniel Cartledge our very own Young Chef of the Year at this year’s Nottingham Restaurant Awards was cooking it up on the main stage at the Nottingham Food Festival today. Cooking alongside Sat Bains, Nottingham’s Michelin Star chef, Dan was entertaining the audience with a demonstration of the culinary skills that made him young chef of the year.
Don’t worry if you missed his show – you can find Dan hard at work every day at The Walk Cafe adding his own magic touch to our daily specials and cafe menu.

Thanks to Tony Naylor of the Guardian for featuring The Walk Cafe as one of Nottingham’s must visit places for good food with flair on a budget.
With the review timed to coincide with the Nottingham Food Festival, (where incidentally The Walk’s own Young Chef Of the Year, Daniel Cartledge, was cooking alongside Sat Bains) Tony had nothing but nice things to say about The Walk Cafe.
Take a trip to the Guardian site to check out the choices or just read on and tempt your taste buds with his review =-
The Walk
“Budget” is all a matter of perception, and many people would never pay £7 for a sandwich. But, at the Walk, we’re talking superior sandwiches, salads and platters, executed with flair from fine ingredients – and backed-up by first-rate cakes and tea. Any kitchen that can make something as banal as mushroom soup sing (£3.95) is clearly doing something right. The place itself has an upmarket Mad Hatter’s Tea Party feel: a phalanx of pretty cakes and tea pots at the entrance (you can choose your pot) giving way to a smart, iodsyncratically dressed space, complete with a brightly, almost psychedelically, decorated outdoor patio area.”

Put it in your diaries. This Friday and every Friday through the summer the Friday Night Club is on at The Walk Cafe. Early doors, after work or go home, get changed and drop by before the big night out.
And every Friday’s different – BBQ and beer, Wimbledon with jugs of Pimms, every week it’s something new.. The club starts off at 5 30pm and stays open until 10pm. So, no hanging around, turn up straight from work or make a later entrance.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the weekend at The Walk Cafe in Nottingham.

This time around the boys at The Walk Cafe got a look in on the new uniforms too. Rob would like to point out that any resemblance to a French sailor is purely coincidental!

We came across performance artist Anette Foster who last year was leading interactive tours around Newstead Abbey and offering her guests afternoon tea in a very inspiring way. We’re not sure how practical it would be as a uniform for the girls at The Walk Cafe but we loved the idea anyway.
Who knows we may try it one day.
The Walk Cafe’s Friday Night Club celebrated the unveiling of the new wall painting and the reopening of The Walk’s cafe garden for spring and summer with a party on Friday April 3rd. Featuring an imprmptu performnce by guitarist Henry Parkinson a “bison” night was enjoyed by everyone.
The Friday Night Club is a regular gathering of friends of The Walk Cafe to celebrate the end of the week and welcome in the weekend. For details and to join the Friday Night Club, contact The Walk Cafe or ask any of our staff the next time you’re in The Walk Cafe.
